A couple of years ago now I was luck enough to be wedding photographer to Doddy & Oliver. Besides having an amazing location for their wedding and for their reception (blog post on this later) they are lovely people to work with. So when Doddy contacted me to ask about a photoshoot at their beautiful home with their gorgeous new daughter I was more than happy to oblige.
Not only do they have two lovely cats as part of their family, they also have some duck and chickens that happily roam the grounds. The chickens are fearless and on the day followed us around, waiting for something to eat. I have to admit I did think at one point that I would be tested to see if I was edible but luckily they decided against it
Here is a sneak peek of their session.

Last year I was so pleased to be asked to be Emma & Dave’s wedding photographer. I was even more pleased when they informed me that they were getting married at the exclusive Caswell House – Oxfordshire. I had wanted to work at Caswell for a while as I knew the location was amazing and would be a joy to photograph & after meeting Emma & Dave I knew that us all working together was a great idea.
All of the flowers used in the table decorations were also the favors for the wedding & had been grown by Emma herself. Many things stuck out at this wedding for me, for one was Alfie, Emma & Dave’s little nephew. He was such a little character. The entire wedding was a family affair with members playing connect four and bowls on the lawn while waiting for the wedding breakfast.
Here are some of the images from their amazing day
Since the weather has been improving I have been looking through some of my past weddings. It was a beautiful sunny day at Hyde Barn when I arrived to take images for Alex and Kaye’s wedding. I was so glad that the weather had improved as it had been a little wet. Having discussed the day with Alex & Kaye I quickly realized that they were particularly interested in fauna and flora. Kaye’s wedding bouquet comprised of wild flowers, her head peace was a simple but stunningly beautiful wild flower wreath. All the details of the day were thought out from the table decorations to the cheese cake.
Alex and Kaye’s wedding was beautiful. Held at the stunning setting of Hyde Barn – Gloucestershire it proved to provide endless opportunities for imagery that I am proud to show below.
If you are getting married at Hyde Barn, I would love to hear from you.
Ever since I can remember I have loved big cats! My biggest goal in photography is to go and find them in the wild and photograph them, as this is where they deserve to be and are at their best. Unfortunately I have yet to reach this goal and therefore have had to settle for safari parks such as Longleat etc. These are some images from our first trip there last year while on holiday to Glastonbury. I had never seen tigers so close up, as we entered the enclosure (in the car I might add) a small tiger decided to start a little argument with a larger one from the group. Myself, Ross and Gwen couldn’t believe our eyes as they settled their little spat around the car. As you can see from the images the smaller tiger did in fact get walloped and ended up sulking on the side of the path as the others in the group watched rather relaxed for what appeared to us to be a rather aggressive encounter.
In every wedding I have photographed there have been those small details that separate them from one another. Some couples choose to have lots of small important details that mean a lot to them and others a select few that mean just as much. In every way all the small things are important to building your special day and the memories you hold of it. I have put together this video to show some unique and personal touches that the couples I have worked with have put into their weddings. Showing that you get out as much as you put in.
I have just completed the baby part of the bump and baby session for Hannah, Harry and their gorgeous little boy William!! It was a pleasure meeting little William and he was a lovely and very well behaved little man in the studio. Hannah and Harry are very natural parents and it was such a joy to see the three of them together to capture some unforgettably imagery of Williams for his first photography session, out side of mum’s tummy .
